This is a highly enjoyable, well written show. We have enjoyed every episode. The acting is good, the character development is strong and the stories are all different and very engaging. Absolutely 5 stars from us.

We are well into season 5 (in the U.S). Shetland is, hands down, the best crime drama on television, bar none. We have enjoyed every season, the acting is superb, the plots well constructed and the character development outstanding. The stories all hold together extremely well and there is plenty of suspense for everyone. Although Anne Cleves has decided not to continue the books, I am hopeful that she, the screenplay writers, producers, actors and networks executives all have the energy and wisdom for continuing this television series for many more seasons. Well done!!
