It's a good to average movie tbh. I haven't watched the original kanchana so i am gonna talk bout just this one. It's a pretty fine family entertainer and funny movie too. Some shots may seem over the top kinda but it was meant to be like that and i don't mind that at all. It won't bore you even for a moment. 2 hrs 21 minutes is i think pretty fine length upto which you won't feel uncomfortable even for a moment. Cast of movie is good. Every actor did terrific job. Akshay Kumar nailed especially. It was his movie hands down. I am not his biggest fan but he always do something fresh and he always gives his fullest and it looks so effortless that it blows the mind. Same for supporting cast, funny moments are moreover woven around them so they were crucial and they do justice with their parts pretty much. Special mention to Sharad Kelkar he has an amazing and impactful appearance. Apart from that, Camera work was pretty fine. Talking about bad things is first it's obviously over the top scenes and some unnecessary and Cringe-worthy humour. It's a very fast paced movie. Horror elements were less. It's barely there. It's Animation and VFX was Pretty average. Music was Okay tho it felt very unnecessary to put them. Dialogues were pathetic honestly. Dubbing was not good in some shots it was clearly hit and miss and you don't expect something like these Rookie Mistakes with such big production house movie. Message of the movie is very good and impactful. I have been seeing the IMDb ratings of The Movie. And i can Understand This cuz Movie was not meant to be released on ott. There is a set standard of Movies on OTT Platforms(i.e. Serious Men,Taish, Guilty) But thing is this movie was not meant to be for that space. If it was released in Theatres then people would have been Hooting and Shouting. And i think People are harsh a bit much over the movie (PS:imo) Rating-5/10 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Average Movie with all that typical Bollywood masala touch.
