I won't compare it to any other sci-fi film . I watched it in 2020 as you can see , so I think there are many things which have been proved who were just theory back in 2014 so , the film got many things right unlike quite a few movies in this genre . Besides the correctness of phenomenas , plot and music the focus is on relationships , loss and the many questions which will arise if fiction tries to become reality ( though I want it to be !) , Which is something to be appreciated . Also the film doesn't exclude love and feelings and gives them the place they deserve for being the part of human nature ( actually more of animal nature , let's not forget humans are animals ) ,so I think it's an amazing work and deserves to be watched if you haven't.

( adapted from Bengali serial)The acting is superb and the show is really relatable minus the drama and background music . But I love the characters and they are like a mirror to the society because that is how kids are they disrespect their mothers and if she is a house wife or uneducated then everyone thinks she deserves it , a husband who is following the trend of women empowerment and loves his daughter too but can't see his wife as an equal human because she is a house wife , a wife and a woman . Of course supportive people are there but in some houses they also don't care that much . Now this is to the people saying "this is 2020" , yes it is 2020 but for our mothers and grandmothers the world is still struck in the 70 s and 80 s and you can't understand this because just like the characters you people also don't realise that you are mistreating a house wife or mother as youo feel they deserve it . To all the women saying we wouldn't live with such a man ( vanraj) ask your selves would you support your 40-50 year old mother or 70-80 old granny to get divorce? And if you're gonna say they should have taken it before then you have lost your brain because divorce is today a taboo so , it would have been a bigger Taboo those days and there was noone to support the then young women . All of those people saying noone treats women like that , no kid does that are blind ,just ask yourself ,how much do you think about your mother or granny except on the mothers day ? How many times do you scream and say they don't know anything ? How you hate them ? How they are so annoying because they are strong in their traditional beliefs just like Anupama , after all how can your mom or grand mom take a stand for their belief ? They are supposed to be "boomers" or vague idiots , aren't they? Don't you laugh at them ? Don't you joke about them with your friends ? Yes it is 2020 for everyone except mothers, grandmothers and house wives , uneducated people , we are the same people screaming feminism or equalism or humanism on top of our voice and the same people who openly discriminate and disrespect these people while normalising it , such hypocrites we are !! This is adapted from a Bengali serial so please do give the Bengal TV industry their due credit , kudos to the makers ( of all versions) and to the people who could understand how needed this is .

It's a great film the characters are interesting and some incidences in the film make you feel sad and even angry no matter from where you are but I feel that at some points it should have been more sensitive and responsible . Despite it's happy ending ,the story doesn't actually give you a solution nor a utopian vision but that's for us to decide , we want to continue all of this or we want to end it , it depends on the people . I am happy that atleast ,we're accepting that racism is visibly existent and concerning ( accepting the problem is the first step of solving it) and it's amazing how we are unable to respect and understand our own diversity . A must watch .
