BOURGEOIS BOHEMIAN

Besides episode 5...this series is a major missed opportunity to once again get deeply involved within the Alien Universe. The main storyline involving the dying children being injected into semi-adult synthetic bodies is a terrible idea. It lacks any real tension as the kids continuously make dumb decisions. The corporate wars are reduced to Prodigy and Yutani Corp trading jabs over a list collection of alien lifeforms that never really take center stage. This series becomes a poor Peter Pan ripoff that has no stakes. The writing is poor. The direction is poor. The story of the "Maginot" was the main story here and it was relegated to one episode. That's the real interesting thing to explore. Finding the specimens, capture and what happens with the betrayal that leads to all the chaos. This is bad show running from a producer who should know better. 5/10

Theres no doubt about the quality of direction, acting and set design but the real triumph here is the ethereal realm the score by Vangelis takes us.

An absolutely terrible title. An o.k. movie.

This pile of shit movie doesn't deserve any stars. It shamefully attempts to capitalize on a far, far better movie by stealing the name. Complete garbage.

Just goes to show you that not everyone who makes a movie, understands how to. This movie makes the critical error of a flashback narrative running through the whole thing. Slow, unengaging and a cheap rip off of better movies. Barely made it to the end. Wouldn't recommend at all.

Don't listen to any reviews about this movie from someone who isn't a SciFi horror fan. This is definitely an acquired love for low budget practical effects films at their best. Yes the acting is sometimes deplorable. Yes sometimes you can hardly hear the dialogue. Yes the acting is abysmal. LOL. But damn is the love of the genre at true display here. I for one think every penny they had was there on screen. The sets are great. The camera blocking is great and the on set, in camera lighting is great too. Well done. Enjoyed it.

This movie represents everything great about independent filmmaking (sort of independent). RR is brilliant in his editing and over the top direction. This movie moves at a real necklace that is sooo satisfying it's ridiculous.

Top to bottom this is a milestone film. Walter Hills ultra violent rage movie is right there with A Clockwork Orange. Fantastic music. Joe Walsh's lead in song is outstanding.

I just rewatched this the other night and it's still an excellent movie. Patrick Swayze and Charlie Sheen are really good as the Eckhart brothers.

I have no idea why the writers would write a story about everyone exvept Jonny Rico. The characters in this movie are beyond baffling. They're all played by the worst casting in any movie I've ever seen. This movie had triple the budget of the second film and manages to look terrible. Hats off to Phil Tippett. This movie is a guilty pleasure solely based on being a Starship Troopers fan. Other than that...it's exactly what NOT to do when making a movie...on any budget.
