WARNING: Mild plot spoilers are revealed so if you are actually considering wasting your money on this so-called movie you should stop reading (but seriously if I could give this movie 0 stars I would).
I absolutely hated this movie, not only did they screw up the character's voices, especially Fred and Shaggy's, but it had no aspects of any other Scooby-Doo movie. To start off, Daphne and Fred had absolutely none of their previously known personalities in this movie, Daphne was not prone to any sort of specific danger whatsoever, and the only thing relatively close to a trap was by Shaggy, and we all know that a Scooby-Doo movie without failed traps by Fred isn't a Scooby-Doo movie. Second there was no romantic tension between Daphne and Fred or Shaggy and Velma, in fact the only romantic tension in this movie is between Fred and the Mystery Machine and Daphne and the weird vacuum. What really sets this movie out from the rest though is the lack of mystery. In SCOOB!, you basically know the antagonist within the first 20 minutes of the movie and while you are watching, you are hoping there will be a plot twist or at least some sort of surprise but no, there is none. I mean, if the amount of mysteries or plot twists were half the amount of cringy pop-culture references I would still be happy, but if I were the director and saw the final cut of this movie before release, I would do everything in my power to make sure the public didn't have to endure this tragedy. As a self-proclaimed Scooby-Doo lover who has seen the majority of the over 50 combined tv shows and movies, this train wreck of a film really puts a dent in the franchise, and for all of the true Scooby-Doo fans out there, I would of rather them bring back Scrappy-Doo than make this movie.
