A stylish and bold version of Charles Dickens' novel - Great Expectations, this new version promises sensuality, poetry, tragedy and redemption. Gwyneth Paltrow fulfills all the expectations of a sensual movie. But it lacks the feel of Dickens' emotions.

A timeless tale of vengeance set during Napoleonic era, The Count of Monte Cristo was adapted several times by Hollywood as well as Indian movies. I read this book long back in 2002. Even after 19 years, the story is still fresh as ever. I highly recommend this book by Alexandre Dumas.
