“For Lovers Only” is a masterpiece to listen to.

This was sadly the last album that Melvin Franklin was on as he became sick during the recording.
He was only able to complete two tracks
“Some Enchanted Evening” and “Life Is But A Dream”.
He also did an interlude simply titled “Melvin’s Interlude”.
He died on February 23rd,1995 from congestive heart failure
leaving Otis Williams as the last original founding member.
Melvin was replaced by Ray Davis.
He is second from the left on the album cover.
He finished the rest of the tracks that Melvin couldn’t complete.
He left the group soon after he was diagnosed with throat cancer.
He died from the cancer on July 5th.2005.
This was also the last album that Ali-Ollie Woodson was on.
He left the group the next year in 1996 after he was diagnosed with throat cancer.
He returned to the group for the final time in 2002 to fill in for
Barrington Bo Henderson as he was unable to travel due to visa problems.
Ali Woodson died on May 30th.2010 of leukemia.
