I'm someone who has seen the movie more times than I see my extended family, read the comics front to back multiple times over, and has the platinum trophy for the game, and let me tell you this show rules
Originally I was coming into it expecting a comic accurate adaptation of the comics as I'm pretty sure everyone else was and when Matthew seemingly killed Scott I was initially very disappointed, but as the run time went on I found myself realizing that it was actually a very smart decision to give not just Ramona but also the evil exes more depth and development, Even if it is at the cost of the titular character
If you ended up dropping it because it wasn't a straight adaptation, pick it back up. It's a unique, soulful new story that in a way similar to rebuild of evangelion is a perfect continuation
