The story is relatable to South Africa since it is inspired by true events such as apartheid, racism, racial inequality, xenophobia, drug abuse and poverty. All these themes in the film are shown in the best way possible. However, the film is based on a very African in nature but it's true nature is lost since it has a white director and crew. It'd be better if Africans also played a role in the crew as much they did in the cast. But above Jerusalema remains one of the greatest in South African films
