minutes version of it rather than the movie itself. It's deplorable that it only lasted about 2 minutes. I'd argue that it was the best 2 minutes of the entire movie. Pooh and Piglet were very well-crafted, relatable, and vile antagonists. I sympathized with each on a deeper level than most people wouldn’t understand. I know the feeling of abandonment and the unbearable, inhuman urge for vengeance. I have to admit the actors have done a sensational job of displaying the characters.
It's upsetting that I haven't heard of any of the actors before, given their outstanding acting abilities. With such emotive acting, there wasn't a single dull moment. This made me invested in the characters therefore it was absolutely heart-wrenching watching them suffer through not deserved deaths. Aside from the actors themselves I absolutely fell in love with the protagonists of the story. They were all so intelligent and their decision-making skills left me speechless. Such relatable and realistic characters. I can confidently say, that is exactly how everyone would act, faced with homicidal monsters.
The story was cleverly written, shaped, and delivered. There were absolutely no plot holes, everything fit into the frame perfectly. The unexpected plot twists, resolution, and final standoff were top-notch. The cinematography was a visual fest that made me reminisce about the iMovie production movies my friends and I used to record. Its sterling quality was quite obvious. The production team went above and beyond with the special effects and extremely realistic masks. I was on edge throughout the whole movie.
I can't go unnoticed of some scenes, in which there was no unnecessary nudity that serves the male gaze at all. The story was so interesting on its own that I didn't even realize how the movie didn't need to sneak in a couple of scenes that absolutely work in support of the scene.
My only complaint is that I expected some other characters from the original cast such as tigger, rabbit, kanga, and roo. This was the only disappointing part in the whole movie but I can understand that if they'd put the other characters into the movie, it'd simply be spectacular and break the box office. It's very nice of the producers to be thoughtful about the other newly released movies.
Overall I absolutely loved this movie. It was entertaining, horrifying with gruesome scenes. This movie is a modern classic.
