Probably one of the best SG movie ever made. If there is one recent SG film you should watch, make it this movie. Very accessible to the regular moviegoers and a 10/10 tearjerker with a great story which connects with the local SG masses but my fear is this film will go the route of many great local films like ilo ilo which faded into obscurity due to its lack of publicities and marketing. "How To Make Millions Before Grandma Dies" had tons of viral videos on tiktok to create a major hype which explains its strong box office showing but Wonderland barely had any and it is such a shame.

Thanks to Netflix, managed to catch some very good Indian movies like Pad Man and 12th Fail which would otherwise have slipped under the radar. Movies like this open the eyes of an international audience to the inner working and fabrics of the Indian society. Themes like corruption in countries like my own Singapore is far and in between but through the lens of the movie, shows how this pans out and has major ramifications to a country and its society. This is one Indian movie I highly recommend.

This film felt like a B grade horror/slasher flick with some poor acting. I guess when you have seen his earlier creepy works like Saw, Insidious, The Conjuring and the likes, you have higher expectation from films produced by James Wan. In short, you went into the theatre expecting a typical creepy scary movie from James Wan and halfway through, he decides to have a slasher flick and then finally he decides to close the show by paying homage to "Alien" and then ends the final scene with some cheesy lines. 78% positive reviews on RT is very very subjective.

Accidentally chanced upon it 2years after it was released on Netflix and I must say I have enjoyed every moment of season 1. Engaging story of the rise and eventual downfall of the infamous porn director. From a cuckolded husband to a magalomanic, ground breaking pioneer in the industry, we follow him through his trials and tribulations in the series. The performance of the entire cast is superb, from the lead to the Yakuza guys. It's been a while a Japanese series has such a strong impact and impression. 👍👍
