I didn't believe that my first review of a Movie would be of a movie that is sooooo BAD. This could of been an EPIC movie, with a woman as the lead character. With the conversations where the more women should be in the leading roles and also the emphasis on giving traditional male movies character roles to women like James Bond. This was the PERFECT opportunity to show how powerful another woman lead could be in a movie. I have seen the full Movie (not the trailer and made a review like some ) some of the reviews on here are very lost, some people are delusional or never have seen a Chinese epic movies before. Instead this movies has failed in so many way. The LACK of - A consistent story line for the Main character. she is all powerful with her chi when playing around. But when her life is in danger her Chi is still not supporting her. Where is her grit, wit and hard work to be as good as any warrior. - You have Two mega stars in Donnie yen and Jet LI. you don't get to see their talent or skills at any level... its like saying there is sound but you have pressed the mute button. - The witch has a better character introduction story line than all of the characters put together. I could carry on but the simple fact is... A director with no experience in making epics. you cant cook gourmet just because you know how to put a pizza in an oven. A story line changed too much from the original but not unique enough to be its own story. This movies was more like crouching tiger hidden dragon made by the teletubbies. There is no emotion in the movie at all, the animated version is still much better.
