I'm usually a big fan of Dr Oz. Unfortunately , today I watched an episode that featured Erin Brockovich who was pretending to be a drinking water expert and told of gloom and doom and contamination of Americas public water supplies. Dr Oz appeared to take it all in , hook line and sinker. As a former public water supply manager of a large city , the generalities and photos were too much. I was very disappointed that the Oz show did not have a guest of those representing municipal water supplies and State and Federal regulators to provide the truth and counterpoints. Yes , there are several examples of contaminated supplies , however the vast majority are very safe and meet or exceed all State and Federal standards.
