Nereida Sotomayor Rodriguez

This movie is so well done and demonstrates many of the frustrations of the immigrant experience for many family members. It is so well done. What I like most is that it is a true story about a young girl who came to the United States and actually became an author in her second language. My students can easily see themselves and those who are not immigrants can get a glimpse of what it is like for those navigating a new land, culture, education system, way of life, etc. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS MOVIE!
