I have been in ministry since being ordained in 1971 with New Tribes Mission, now Ethnos 360. The ministry has been 17 years with NTM, 15 years with HCMA the hospital chaplain's work and now another 10 years five giving Bible studies and five as Counselor for a maximum security jail in Hays Co. Texas. This book is so excellent to describe from a released prisoner's view, the dilemmas faced immediately upon release, the on-going need for support, help with everything one might never think of, contacts, who, what, and long term encouragement for placement and integration into society. This person walks back into a completely different world than they left because he/she has changed and has become institutionalized. No one knows this new person. It also contains excellent reference materials. Highly recommended reading for family of an incarcerated person, church members, and groups willing to take the leap of faith to not only be a hearer but a doer.
