A MOVIE BASED ON THE EXPLOITATIONS IN THE NAME OF GENDER TEST WHICH DISTROYED THE LIFE OF INDIAN SPORTS STAR PINKY PARMANIK A new subject. Well executed. Kudos to RSVP for raising the issue of Gender test in sports which has become a tool of conspiracy. This movie is inspired from real life incidents of national athlete Pinky Parmanik. Tapsee did wonderful job. Priyanshu reminds of Sushant singh Rajput. Director Akansh Khurana succeeded to bring out emotions on correct time. Worth watching.

What follows is how these kids deal with their mommy issues, which leads to utter chaos. Sunny Singh and Sonnalli Seygall are in usual form. No novelty. They would have to take some classes of acting to become good actors. Two actress Pathak and Dhillon were wasted in ill defined roles. It's a complete waste of time. ANALYSIS : Technically, Production values are good Performances are routine. VERDICT : Only Mata Rani may save it

Banner: SK Films | Director: Prabhu Deva | Cast: Salman Khan, Sudeep, Sonakshi Sinha, Arbaaz Khan, Saiee Manjrekar Plot :The film, a prequel in part, traces Chulbul Pandey’s journey from a young man named Dhaakad to police officer Chulbul Pandey, and his fight with the demons of his past. This is the third instalment of a famous franchise 'Dabangg' and the audience is well-acquainted with the larger-than-life, lovable cop and his world. Chulbul (Salman) spends his average day romancing his wife Rajjo (Sonakshi), troubling his brother Makkhi (Arbaaz) and fighting and reforming goons. All is well, until he busts a prostitution racket and saves a bunch of girls, which angers the ring leader, the rich and powerful Balli (Sudeep).Its a,Chulbul Pandey’s beginnings, a huge chunk of the first part of the film is about his younger days, his love interest – the beautiful and naive Khushi (Saiee)and the circumstances that urged him to turn over a and becoming Robinhood Panday. TRADE ANALYSIS: Salman Khan did exceptionally well in action scenes especially in the climax. It is a treat to watch Salman charishma. The film also conveys social messages. Locations are well captured by cinematographer Mahesh Limaye. Prabhudeva as director could deliver much better product. The story is predictable. Dialogues are well written. The film looks like old one in new package. Romance between Salman and Saiee Manjrekar does not digest due to age gap. Sudeep is overshadowed by Salman’s character. Warina looks sensuous. Pramod Khanna fills the place of Vinod Khanna well. Musically a let down. The movie released in midst of CAA protest will effect the collections. Verdict: Being Entertainer.

Banner- Reliance Entertainment | Producer - Vipul Amrit Shah | Director - Aditya Dutta Plot: A mysterious terrorist is on an impending mission to attack India from his base in London. Karan Singh Dogra was sent to hunt down the antagonist with the help of British Intelligence. Analysis: Although, the movie has a close look of Islamic terrorism but it gives a message of communal harmony. Vidyut Jammval always comes with a new action style. He steals the show with his performance. Director infuses the patriotic dose amply in the movie. Second half is better than the first half. The story line is thin and stretched by the maker but he succeeds in keeping the breaking point intact. Adah Sharma and Angira Dhar have supported well to the protagonist. Gulshan Devaiah did justice to his role. Verdict: The movie is good enough to watch once. Rating - 2.5/5 Stars

⭐⭐⭐ Director: Shonali Bose Cast: Zaira Wasim, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Farhan Akhtar, Rohit Saraf PLOT: The Sky Is Pink is a tribute to the life of motivational speaker Aisha Chaudhary. This strong and brave girl suffered from pulmonary fibrosis – a type of condition that causes hardening of the lungs. Despite her condition, she went on to become a motivational speaker and even wrote a book – My Little Epiphanies. It was published one day before her death at the age of 18. Analysis:This film is based on a true story, where Aisha is diagnosed with SCID,a rare genetic disorder,soon she is born,that is life threatening. Her parents, Aditi and Niren make it their life’s mission to do whatever it takes to make her survive for as long as possible,‘The Sky is Pink’ touches an emotional chord from the word go. As Aisha’s (Zaira Wasim) lively voiceover takes over from the start of the film, we are drawn into Aditi (Priyanka Chopra) and Niren’s (Farhan Akhtar) life instantly and as a couple their determination to keep spirits intact and hopeful as they go through all ups and downs. It is heart-wrenching a grueling time as a middle-class couple trying to raise funds for their child’s treatment in London. It is a well performed good emotional film with technically sound, well picturised, which scores high on Its content but without any relief and any hit music number. Verdict: Youth may refrain to watch this high emotional drama. ⭐⭐⭐

PAL PAL DIL KE PAAS: Banner: Zee Studios, Sunny Sounds Pvt Ltd | Producer: Zee Studios, Sunny Sounds Pvt Ltd | Director: Sunny Deol | Cast: Karan Deol, Sahher Bambba PLOT: When video blogger Saher Sethi (Sahher Bambba) embarks on a tedious trek with mountaineer Karan Sehgal (Karan Deol), sparks are bound to fly. But will their love story blossom despite the odds? for a film aspiring to be an innocent love story, the chemistry between the lead pair isn’t exactly crackling to create any memorable moments. The film’s music is melodious, although, it slackens the pace of the narrative. The film turns into an all out confrontation drama towards the climax, but none of the conflicts feel organic. ANALYSIS: It’s evident that director Sunny Deol wanted to make a pure, simple love story. However, with a meatier story and better etched out characters, this one could’ve soared. VERDICT: WORST FILM EVER MADE FOR A STAR SON - CRASHED 0/5 STAR

RAMBO: LAST BLOOD: Banner: Millennium Media, Balboa Productions, Templeton Media | Producer: Avi Lerner, Kevin King Templeton, Yariv Lerner, Les Weldon | Director: DiAdrian Grunberg | Cast: Sylvester Stallone, Paz Vega, Sergio Peris-Mencheta, Adriana Barraza, Yvette Monreal, Genie Kim Joaquín Cosío, Oscar Jaenada PLOT: John Rambo has resigned to a peaceful life in Arizona. Although he still struggles with PTSD from his days in the army, Rambo seems to be content working on a ranch, living with his family friend Maria (Adriana Barraza). But when her teen aged grand-daughter Gabrielle (Yvette Monreal) is kidnapped, Rambo finds himself up against a Mexican drug cartel. ANALYSIS: The effect of decades of violence on the troubled veteran isn’t as hard-hitting as intended, but hardcore fans of the old-school style of generic action storytelling may find some nostalgic amusement. However, if ‘Last Blood’ is meant to be an emotional farewell to the iconic character, there’s little dignity in it. VERDICT: WILL DO WELL 3.5/5

PRASSTHANAM: Banner: Sanjay S Dutt Productions | Producer: Maanayata Dutt | Director: Deva Katta | Cast: Sanjay Dutt, Jackie Shroff, Manisha Koirala, Chunky Pandey, Ali Fazal, Satyajeet Dubey Plot: Prassthanam is director Deva Katta’s adaptation of his 2010 Telugu directorial with the same name. The story revolves around MLA Baldev Pratap Singh (Sanjay S Dutt) and the complex relationships within his family in a highly volatile political setup. Together, can they defeat their enemies or perish within their own battles? Analysis: Sanjay Dutt is impressive in his role of a determined leader and a vulnerable father. But it’s Ali Fazal who makes the most of his well-written character. He exudes an easy charm as a young political leader and a responsible elder brother. Satyajeet Dubey is slightly over-the-top, but believable. Chunky Pandey appears as the only formidable opponent in the film. The dialogues by Farhad Samji are often too filmy and funny and they don't always fit into the moment. Prassthanam manages to hold your interest in parts due to its fast paced developments. But it also suffers from the usual pitfalls like unwanted songs and just too many conflicts, happening all at once. In conclusion, Prassthanam is a tried and tested political potboiler with power, greed and emotions at its core. VERDICT: AN AVERAGE MOVIE 2.5/5

THE ZOYA FACTOR: Banner: Fox Star Studios | Producer: Fox Star Studios, Pooja Shetty, Aarrti Shetty | Director: Abhishek Sharma | Cast: Sonam Kapoor, Dulquer Salmaan PLOT: Born on the same day that India won the 1983 cricket World Cup, Zoya is considered by her family to be a lucky charm when it comes to winning matches, albeit gully cricket. But when the Indian cricket management want to sign her on as a lucky mascot for the present team, Zoya finds herself in a fix. ANALYSIS: Director Abhishek Sharma gives us a light-hearted romantic comedy that hits all the right notes from the word go. An adaptation of Anuja Chauhan’s novel by the same name, the vibe here is breezy and feel-good. Even some of the improbable moments are dealt with amusingly well. The film is a fun, frothy film that pits superstitions versus strategy and self-belief versus luck. And delightfully uses India’s cricket craze to deliver a thoroughly enjoyable, entertaining film. VERDICT: LET’S SEE ZOYA FACTOR WILL WORK FOR THIS OR NOT * 2.5/5
