The first time I saw this movie, I was disappointed. All the hype wasn't worth it. Okay, you can talk about how bad racism is in the real world but the problem with this movie was the writing.
With the black people being used as slaves, the writers could've had the "bad white people" as cruel slave owners or a serial killer family. That would've made it more tense. Why they had body switching in the film didn't make any sense at all. They didn't need that in the movie. If the family was going to hypnotize the main character, Chris, they could've still controlled him without having to do that stupid brain transplant surgery. (White person in black person?)
Plus, the movie barely had any horror in it. They try to make it personal on Chris and giving more hints about the family's racist views. You should show more of that to make them more villainous.
I'm sorry but this movie barely had any justice on a serious topic. It really didn't make sense to me at all.
