Just unbearably stupid from start to finish.
Bloke signs up to 'volunteer' in a somewhat shady situation, where he is quite obviously being played - and doesn't read the small-print, because who cares, right? What's the worst that could happen?
And then, instead of testing their wonder drug on him surgically, they have a bloke in a mask come into his cell and beat the snot out of him every day. Me heals back stronger each time... SO DO IT IN A HOSPITAL BED UNDER ANAESTHETIC!?!
Then, he - SURPRISE - kills his beater-upper, and gets free. And they want to kill him for autopsy (he volunteered for this, remember, as one scientist keeps reminding the other, to justify what's going on. Yeah, sure... autopsy is WAY better than finishing your prison sentence...)
So, their method of trying to kill him is to send a bunch of guards with rusty kung fu skills to attack him one at a time. Then two at a time - but don't worry, they still take it in turns, just to be fair.
The 'good, ethical' doctor, who has happily sat through watching him beaten repeatedly, and conversations about his upcoming autopsy, then - SURPRISE! - decides killing monkeys in her experiments is a BIT different from first degree murder. She goes rogue and helps him escape, which is possible because this facility purposefully takes people from prison, abuses and terrorises them, whilst simultaneously turning them into super-soldiers... BUT THE GUARDS DON'T HAVE GUNS. And the SURPRISE bad-now-goos scientist manages to avoid having her credentials revoked, so can open all the doors... I turned it off. Can't believe I watched over an hour of it! Don't make my mistake ;)
