I’m so sad about this series because it was SUCH a great idea with amazing potential. With a good writer and a director with a sense of narrative, it could have been so good!
The positives, for me, were Natalie Martinez and her acting - she was the only one who carried even a sense of credibility, the soundtrack was decent in places (although always teetering on the over-dramatic) and an occasional sense of self-mockery which almost carried off the brashness of the series.
The main negatives for me were the lazy story-telling (how many times must someone pass out to move on to another scene?!), the utter incredulity of countless scenarios and the downright ridiculous elements (Bonnie and Clyde?! A gravity bunker? A cowboy warden?) which made me laugh out loud in disbelief.
Overall, entertaining in places but a waste of Netflix’s money. If you must watch, watch with a beer (or several) in hand and friends you can laugh with.
