Absolutely brilliant. Perhaps one of the best remakes/ readaption ever. When reading negative reviews of this film, it becomes clear that most people don't understand that this film IS an adaptation. Any thoughts of it being an original or that it would follow the 2 films he is famous for is strictly a misunderstanding. It is a beautifuly shot, beautifuly acted, well written film with attention to detail. So well curated up to the point that there is only 1 real contortionist in the film, and is the only emplied actual circus freak, which mimics one of the main points of the films message. The set design is perfect, and the setting for the story couldn't have been presented better, coming from someone who grew up a fan of the book and 1st film adaptation.

The only thing scary about this show is how terrible it is. It's "horror" aspects are comical at most and and the meandering "agenda" is so unclear it makes me wonder if the show was compiled from a brainstorming sessions trashcan. This new fad of highly ranked Korean cinema makes me realize.... How appearently people don't watch Korean cinema and feel compelled to like things without fair comparison. If this trend continues then our eyes and brains truly are hellbound
