Rosanne fans are too angry to evaluate The Connors fairly. They want it to fail.
However, if you compare this sitcom to the others currently airing it ranks close to the top. The writing is on a rollercoaster ride but there are many high points. Forget the politics. Sit back and let yourself enjoy it.

Great cast. Great acting. Atmospheric.
However, rumor has it it took twenty years to finish the screenplay....because the writer kept falling asleep after every sentence. I'm starting that rumor!
