Question… Does Netflix have a team that approves the movies/scripts BEFORE deciding on whether to allow it on their platform?? If so, that entire team needs to be fired! Everything about this movie was an absolute disaster! A big ole mess! Tyler Perry is convinced that he has superior writing skills that allow him to write any story/genre/character that pops in his head. It doesn’t have to make any kind of sense to anybody but him. The characters were flat and had little to no range of emotion. Some of the events were over the top and not at all believable. I don’t want to spoil the movie giving details, but any SERIOUS actor should stay away from any and ALL things Tyler Perry! Stop letting his success make you believe he's so “talented” that you overlook when he puts out garbage.

Just got back from seeing this movie. I thoroughly enjoyed. I left the theater in tears at the ending. There was so much in this film that resonated with me. It touched on poverty, colorism, patriarchy, abuse, familial bonds, rebellion, the influence of “the black church,” and most importantly, survival—all of which are still relevant today. Even with all the singing the message still came through clearly. It was definitely worth it!

Just awful! I thought based on the title it was worth a watch. It just didn’t make sense. The “Rebirth” experience wasn’t even believable. What was even more bizarre was the best friend making it back to Kyle’s house before he did and having time to hang pictures, change the bed linen, and fill the entire house with branded Rebirth items. And the ending was ridiculous. Just NO!!

This movie was next level racism! I got it at first… but then the ending 🙄👎🏽

This movie was so real! It hit home for a lot of people. Drug addiction does not discriminate. Even more compelling than the addict was the very accurate portrayal of how the addiction affects loved ones, especially parents. It humanized every person involved.

Definitely worth the watch. Their hiring practices and hyper-focus on oversexualizing young people really showed how terrible this company really was. The rules given when on the plane in the company of the “leader” were ridiculous! Had social media been then what it is now, that company would’ve been canceled quickly!

Loved this movie! A good solid performance by all! Would recommend for sure!!

It was an absolute NO for me! I couldn’t even get through it. Horrible script and was NOT representative of true African culture. A colossal failure 👎🏾

Felt like a “Lifetime” movie. Not bad, but certainly not the best I’ve ever seen.

Superb acting and a great cast! The storyline is great from beginning to end!!!
