Very entertaining. Based on the life of Catherine the Great, the writers admit right away that it is "occasionally" true. Yet, it is still a creative and fanciful rendering of things that may have happened on the day-to-day scale, with a generous dose of spicy exaggeration. Another season please.

Strong cast, interesting stories wtihin the main story. Characters have some depth and authenticity - and drew me in fairly quickly. Would like to see more seasons.
