So it's not really a lot of help, the book title is misleading. If the point of a self-help book is to either give practical tips or arrange some level of understanding, then the book would be more in reference to the second option. It mainly focuses on a list of analogies, while the author mainly just talks about his own life and what he did. It's honestly not a terrible book...but it definitely is not as high quality in finding a list of actual pro-active tips that you could recreationally attempt to apply personally.
