This show was engaging, dynamic and kept you guessing. The host was too much. For the first 9 episodes it was excellent. I felt Darren most deserving (or the other two Australian chefs) in terms of his story, technique and his approach as a chef is moving. He also focus on parts of ingredient that is forgotten and his mastery and philosophy of food is very strong. It was as if he carried Timothy (who is also a great chef in his own right) for most of the other countries and then suddenly... Timothy played it safe and won.. This does not make sense and also I get it’s American show but there were clearly a lot of screen time and weight to the US chef. He came out centered when the other international chefs lined up and then Timothy from US came out center at the end - poetic
