"Best RPG fantasy game since KOTOR plus I love Dorian"
I grown up playing Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic (KOTOR) and it's one of the best RPG to date since it's release in 2003. I heard good things about Mass Effect but I kept hearing great things about Age Dragon so I thought I would try it out.
I could not put down the game. I easily put in 60 playable hours in two weeks. The cinematics and story was done so well and it's refreshing to play a game where your choices affect the game environment. Each playthrough is different from the next. You can choose race, sex, and battle style with some flexibility to customize for your character. I know I personally enjoy playing as a male elf mage.
The best part for me is the depth to the characters with one in particular, Dorian. Being gay, I don't get to see my sexuality representative well if at all in video games. It was refreshing to see a gay character be both strong and masculine in some moments but also weak and feminine in other moments. I could see myself in Dorian in many ways if you know what I mean.
The best part was my character got the opportunity to romance him. The growth of the relationship felt real and honestly give flashbacks to my first romance. The fear but also rush of excitement when you hold hands. The witty and playfully banter. Stealing moments to make out in secret. Dorian is by far the best written gay character in any game that I played or book that I read. I hope to see him in future games and I hope we continue to get more like him.
