I loved this book. It was clean, refreshing, vibrant, and the author had a fresh and unique voice. She grabbed me from the very beginning all the way through to the very end. It is the best I have read from that time period. I loved the distinctness of her characters, the love story itself, and I can picture Marianne's grandmother. I hope they make a movie out of it.
One of my daughter's gave it to me, and I feel I can refer it to my teenage granddaughter. She will love it. I don't have to worry about it's contents because it is clean. It is so gripping that I could not put it down. I lost a lot of sleep reading it, but it was well worth the lost sleep.
