I really want to like the reboot of GG. Sadly, it is so bad and almost hard to push through. I didn't feel like any of the characters truly had their own charm to them, the writers developed character personas from old characters such as Chuck and Blair. But this was poorly executed. Characters lacked depth and believeability. I actually liked the idea of GG being teachers and the differant angle of knowing who GG is. However, I think they messed up deeming the queen of the school. She was not believeable that she became ruler of the school as she was too nice and not as manipulative. It lacked the sneak peak into the lives of rich kids. The storyline lacked problems of the rich and the stuck up exclusive lives they live. It never mentions the stores they shopped at or the luxury they partook in. There was no true gap shown between the haves and have nots. The origanial was a lot more believable, serena and blairs summers in Paris etc. The traditions of the wealthy. It lacked all the enchantment of the first. I eventually stopped watching it eas that bad. What it lacked most was the killer music and iconic fashion. The Blair Waldorf take downs that provided so much storyline twist. There is no depth to these characters and the extraordinary lives they live. Their lives actually seem really boring and too relatable.
