------------ Ammachi Yemba Nenapu ----------- Amidst "High Grossing" overrated movies once in a while a small movie with no big star cast, with original content,which is executed brilliantly,without any gimmicks releases. Some of which see success and most of which doesn't. Without beating around the bush let me come to the point. There was a play "Akku" which I watched for more than 5 times continuously not because I didn't understand it or most of the crew members in that play was my mentors in the field of art, it was just for the sheer love of the content and the story which dragged me again and again into Rangashankara/Ravindra Kalakshetra. This was a play based on 3 short stories written by Vaidehi which got deeply rooted in my mind. Now this same play is presented as a movie in the name "Ammachi Yemba Nenapu" directed by Champa Shetty ma'am. The story revolves around a family where there are many characters which tell a story of their own. The best part of this film is it's narrative style where many issues are spoken in a subtle way with a pinch of humour which makes the movie even more interesting in every frame. The movie mainly speaks about how a women was and is treated in the society. The story gets more and more exciting when the cultural aspects of Tulunadu is shown. Naveen Kumar's cinematography is brilliant and most importantly the actors have done justice to their roles. "Puttammatté" character played by Radhakrishna Urala K sir is brilliant and other characters like "Ammachhi", "Venkappayya" played by Raj B Shetty sir , "Vasu" played by Vishwanatha Urala sir , Rajesh Kashyap sir, Muralidhara Navada sir, Devaraj Karabha sir and the list goes on... All these people will make sure the movie is worth every second and penny of yours. Thank you Prakash Shetty sir, Kalakadamba Art Centre and other producers for making such a wonderful movie.
