Really bad acting, really bad dialog, moderately decent action sequences that have been done before, and completely faulty depiction of the science of gravity AND astronomy. Also, all those explosions in the Rockies and not a single avalanche?! It was painful to watch the support cast of sons and husbands and second families, none of whom should ever act again given this performance. This may be a misstep of Catwoman proportions for Halle Berry. The only redeeming feature is the mad scientist (who is not even a scientist!) played by John Bradley channeling his inner Kevin Smith.

Watch the little scenes that show what a gem this movie is and how much love the screenwriters, director, producers and actors have for India and Indian cricket... Lala finding redemption from a system that humiliated and marginalized him for speaking up against the cabal of royals and sahibs.. and being played by none other than Mohinder, who faced his own challenges with the bureaucrats of the BCCI!! Kapil washing his whites in the hotel tub as Indian cricketers did not even have enough money to pay for laundry, a far cry from the Cricket economy today... Sandhu despairing that his fiance left him as there is no financial future as a cricketers unlike as a doctor or engineer! The stunned look and silence when Kapil asks Gavaskar to finally score some runs... followed by the quiet sadness of the greatest modern-day Test opener who realizes he is not suited for this new form of the game. ... and of course a 10 year old wide eyed Sachin running in to watch the final. These are moments only a lover of the game and of the country can create and capture. People who complain about "nationalism" and "flag waving" should introspect why they are so blase about flags of other nations being waved in movies such as any Hollywood movie or any Bond movie, but feel uncomfortable about the flag of their own country being waved. Perhaps Lala's work in taking on the royals and the sahibs is still incomplete.
