Weirdly depressing. The entire theater was dead silent, no one really talked even as we all left. Just gross/shocking for the sake of being gross/shocking, no plot, now I’m left with this strange sense of sadness and a desire for a refund.

More of a dramatic meditation on why we’re alive and how we impact each other. There’s definitely some excellent slow-build scares, but you won’t come away sweating. You might come away with some tears in your eyes. Seen it about four times now, constantly show other people.

Terrifying. Excellent characters. Gripping with a quick pace. Fun homages to Kubrick.
