Rehash/Reboot of the 1995 film with updated look and special effects. It's heavy on gore to give MK fans the fatalities in all of their glory but there's no substance to the plot or characterrs. At the end both sides, good & evil admit their fighters are replaceable and this film is just the first of a new MK film universe with sequels of new fighters who will be fodder for more fatalities.
