Thought it was a good original script. Cast was awesome and I appreciate the twist & turns throughout. Having seen the movie, I also agree with the Trigger warning at the beginning.
Damn great job co-writing and directing this crazy, dark, disturbing and at times comical movie. I literally avoid movies with sexual violence, they are not for me unless it’s True Crime. Blink Twice however, doesn’t sensationalize those dark scenes, you get a peak and your mind already knows what’s up without throwing it in your face, and let’s be real, it reeks of True Crime. Everyone reviews this film differently. I didn’t at all find it predictable, or necessarily inspired by “Get Out”. I can think of only 1 thing these two directors have in common. Strange how some reviewers would take it there, missing the entire theme of what women go through in this industry, and in life. How many of them are actually drugged, raped, husbands even serving up a spouse for the pleasure of the community while drugged, and these women are completely unaware of what happened. I guess my point is that the movie really isn’t that far fetched. Unfortunately, we live in a society where this shit happens, the way this was written I thought was very clever. I didn’t know what was going on, kept me guessing for quite sometime. Lastly, I especially love the ending, a survivor and thriver. Now who has control, and not in a depraved way.
