The plot seems unnecessary and stupid for the most part, way too many meaningless plots and an insult to the top tier prequel. This is like a starchy fanfiction with a misplaced budget at best.
Even the subtle and amazing physical effects of the Jaeger/Kaiju that showed just how massive they are from the og movie is missing. Now they all look like mediocre Hollywood CGI

Great attention to detail. The plot seems a bit blant at times. But in the end, I'm here for the giant fights and it definitely delivers.
