Spoiler alert: Okay they lost me when the kid died because she went to “take your daughter to work day” in an asylum for the criminally insane with her dad. Would a child be allowed there, seriously?! And then her dad has to talk to his boss in the hallway and closes the door leaving her alone with a serial killer? Come on.
At the very end she finds out the handyman that’s been hanging around the entire movie is a rehabilitated murderer and her husband never told her because he thought she wouldn’t like it? With a child in the house? No father would do that I don’t care how clueless he is. But then it turns out the handyman is innocent so she lets him continue to live in her attic where he’s been hiding for months. Yeah that sounds reasonable.
It was just so bad and 1985 predictable I only kept watching cuz I thought there had to be a twist somewhere. But that was seriously the entire plot. The last scene she is sitting graciously in the hospital bed as people come one by one to say “oh my God you were right I’m sorry I ever doubted you!” Lame.
