Superb. Manoj, Konkana, Sayaji. Nasser….. Everyone just assimilated into their roles and the result is amazing. I have seen five episodes and still couldn’t find Mohanlal. Is he Lucas ? Unbelievable.

పుస్తకం చదివి చలించిపోయాను. గొర్లకాపర్ల జీవితం ముఖ్యంగా వర్షాధార ప్రాంతాల్లో, కొండాకోనల మధ్య ఎలా ఉంటుందో ఊహామాత్రంగానైనా తెలియని వాళ్ల కి కొండపొలం నవల ఒక కరదీపిక. సినిమా ఎలా ఉంటుందో అనే ఉత్సుకతతోనే చూశాను. కొండపొలం నవలని ఇంతకన్న గొప్పగా తీయడం అసాధ్యం. తీసింది క్రిష్ జాగర్లమూడి గారు, అదీ సన్నపురెడ్డి వెంకటరామిరెడ్డి గారి నిరంతర భాగస్వామ్యంతో కనుక సాధ్యం అయిందని నా ఉద్దేశ్యం.

There is no apparent reason or base for her to like him, let alone fall in love and to be hitched up with him. After all she is a widow of one year who spent 32 years of blissful life with the man she loved. Falling for a man just because he reminds her of her husband … beyond imagination. Even the kiss between them looks out of place. Felt that it was deliberately inserted to give us a hint of what’s to come. Patricia Clarkson’s performance is top notch, the only good thing in the movie.

Thoroughly enjoyed watching. Plot, picturization, performance is all top notch. Reminded of a English short story read years ago. Those who have read it, would know. Others have to search.

Very relevant and thought provoking subject, accentuated by superb performances. But the situation wherein Sunanda has sex with Anand is not convincing. It is quite possible that she is convinced by his outlook. But to prove that she came to terms with her life and let bygones be bygones, she could have reconciled with her husband, who had been more than understanding, considerate and caring. And the husband’s reaction to her act and her acceptance of it as just a man, a woman and hormones is absurd. How could he reconcile to the fact that a stranger could awaken her feelings which he couldn’t do ? But for the ending and the solution suggested, a very good movie. Only It could have been handled a little better

Watched it with varying emotions. Anger, disgust, agony, sadness, frustration. But all through one emotion prevailed. Admiration for the entire team. Director, actors, technicians - everyone associated with it. Only devotion, dedication and unflinching determination must have made it possible to finish it in 62 days. Amazing. Perfection is Shefali Shah’s forte. Rajesh Tailang was almost as good. I perceived a hint of an emotional and romantic bond developing between them, in addition to the professional admiration that’s already there. Have I company ?

The one of the best movies I ever watched. Beautiful subject very ably handled and superbly accentuated by the three top class artistes, Irrfan ( we miss you forever, man) Nimrat and Nawazuddin. A must for movie lovers.

Portrayal of Dev’s character is unconvincing, if not weird. What does she want ? Why does she want to take a revenge against her father ? For delaying her treatment for three days ? And take revenge by indulging in sex with an acquaintance at her job? Instead of empathising with her father for raising the money to pay off the blackmailing cop, she taunts and tortured him. And wants to run away from him and the home he has given her. She cannot put up with taunts at her work places, so she quits. She relinquishes the jobs that pay and wants to join university at Allahabad. Why ? To meet her dead paramour’ father. She couldn’t earlier muster the courage to tell him who she is on phone. How did she expect to face him ? What does she want ultimately ? Unclear. Richa Chavda, a very gifted artist is totally wasted. Disappointing.

Wonderful subject treated superbly almost till the end. Then probably the director lost his way. Wanted a happy ending, for reasons only known to him. Shefali Shah is just magnificent. Even Neeraj Kabi pales in significance. Every actor played his/her character almost to perfection. The way Tara Shetty’s character is built up, she refuses Kumar even after he professes his love and says they cannot meet again, the climax is a mean let down. Tara doesn’t deserve this.
