This is a wonderful book for children and adults! The characters are engaging to children, the content is spot-on for teaching children their rights and obligations as citizens, and there are delightful pictures. This book follows appropriate story structure (difficult to find in newly written books) and encourages children to reflect, predict, draw conclusions, and expand upon what was read (through free supplemental materials that come with book purchase). I read aloud to my children ages 2-7, and though my 2 year old doesn't grasp the concepts, she loves the pictures and my older children are able to transfer the values and messages from the book into real life events.
