While basically accurate.. the true level of horrific enslavement of Black Americans was far more brutal than this movie depicted..as reflected in countless Slave Narratives.. Regardless this movie was poignant and memorable

Full throated adrenalin rush that grabs you at the start and doesn't let go .. watching this movie incites that lil voice inside you to repeatedly ask " what would you do"? This movie is quite the unique thrill ride beginning to end . in the vein of HBO's"" Room 104" that kind of jerk your emotions around like a rag doll.. non stop type thrills. This movie "13 Sins" is a rare gem..The stars are really likeable as well.. I would give this movie 10 stars if I could
