It's an engaging film, as expected. Al was strong, but Bob and Joe both gave subtle yet excellent performances in which they succeeded in avoiding cliche ridden gangster characters. Their characterizations and relationship to one another was emotionally driven, and not over the top, allowing each scene to be real and extremely truthful. Marty once again shows he is a master storyteller.
