Gorgeous scenery and costuming, kooky fun ideas. Too long. Felt like 3 hours. I found myself longing to leave the theatre and wishing every scene was the last scene. Music very blah (but I am not a musical fan). Bizarre and unique so I understand why some would be drawn to its oddness. For me, it felt like a film school movie by a student into Euro cinema + David Lynch + mediocre musicals. The guy who played the conductor was great. Adam and Marion acted their hearts out. When it was (finally) over, I turned to my friends and said, "I hated it so much!" (PS go see Pig for an excellent, current indie)
