The way the new show was produced = bad imo. Not really into the segmenting of specific people. The third episode was 90% Kim with 5-10 mins of Kourtney at the end. When it was on E it seemed like it flowed in a way that was much more authentic, everything feels so staged now. I’m super bored with it to be honest.

Kind of a weirdly annoying married couple. Shay’s interior style is the same pretty much across the board. Would be cool if there was more edge to her thinking instead of “white white white, wood!” and colors on pillows. It makes me wonder how people like this get shows... haha.

Huge fan of Malick but after seeing this and Knight of Cups right after it made me realize that Malick must've had a mental break down at some point over the past 5-10 years. This film seems to touch the young assumed exciting life in Austin and made it down right depressing, which was probably his goal. If he would've avoided the overuse of wide + fish angle lenses and really really bad editing it might've been cool. The VO has got to GO. It did nothing for me or this film and it's not a successful approach to storytelling. I see it as a lazy approach to quick and fast filmmaking which came off as pretentious considering Malick can cast anyone he wants and get anything made simply because he's Terrence Malick. I say give it up altogether or at least try to put some effort in the next time around.

I was shocked to hear so many good things about this film and then when I saw it I was really shocked because it was absolutely horrible. The VFX was half baked and the acting was lazy. I actually didn't even think Natalie Portman was fully engaged in her character throughout the film. The story itself might've seemed cool on paper but it did not come off as intriguing or cool on screen. It seemed like a very out-there nerdy idea that somehow got funding and they didn't leave enough of a budget to support what the film really absolutely needed to make it good.....VFX. Big bummer overall.

I wanted to love it but this film just didn’t hit the bill for me. The way it was shot and edited felt like it lacked thought and preparation. Most of the conversations and dialogue felt forced simply to make points about being a woman in the world in general, which is great but not when it seems forced. The skaters are amazing which was the best part of this film. The storyline really watered down the amazement in the skating. I wanted more skating and less boy+girl assumed romance drama. I do love the idea of a female skater film but I don’t think this was it for me.
