Well worth the wait. I’m convinced people were paid to write bad reviews because it wasn’t the worst production out there. The whole premise of the show is meant to be a combination of previous works that are similar and disturbing. This series closely resembles that of “the platform” but combines dark humour with themes prevalent in world that question the hierarchical structure. I have no idea why there are many one star reviews but I was certainly disappointed with the amount and the number that targeted individuals instead. Some questioned the “relatability” and the “lack of depth” but I think the show did a fantastic job at keeping us on our own, just as the contestants were. Definitely bingeworthy and well executed.

Amazing and unforgettable cast! I regretted not watching from the first week and binged it all the way through till the end. Lee Joo-myung (the female lead) finally earned herself a breakthrough role after cheering her on since 2521. Jang Dong-yoon (the male lead) has been such a busy man with his multiple kdramas that have aired since last year 🥳. If you’re not new to the Kdrama world you will see many familiar faces and just love all the individuals that pop up on screen. The fact that Welcome to Samdalri recently finished too made the ending of this drama so much more sweet. A lighthearted and easy watch for anyone who loves countryside kdrama combined with the tension of sports and the subtle details of romance. I would definitely place this drama in my top ten list and would recommend it to anyone. Please watch ‘Like Flowers in sand’!

Wow. 5/5 series in my opinion. Watched it for one whole day since it’s a short and bingeworthy 6 hour series. I will tell you now this drama will not leave you disappointed as each episode passes. The casting was great and so was the storyline. This drama really showcases the reality of the Korean mandatory army services and with most K-dramas such as this one, will leave you really questioning the reality for these men.

Cried for a good chunk of the film. Beautifully written story board and a real tear jerker for those unfamiliar or familiar with the Sewol ferry disaster. May all those souls rest in eternal peace. This movie really portrays what reality is like for people who have lost anybody and shows what it’s really like to share the pain with many others. 10/10 rating from me, I have no idea why the ratings are so low. People should respect where the story is going and learn how to research before exposing bad light to such films. I never listen to Google reviews or film ratings since I’ve learnt that people can be ridiculous, not only for this film but many others too.

Potato boy all the way. To be brutally honest this drama was dragged on for too long, I know it's only 10 episodes but I was going to quit halfway due to the fact I was barely able to stay awake. The drama really emphasised the message that the nice guy never wins and I couldn't believe that some people said this drama was 'realistic'. If it was realistic then surely the girl would have never dated anyone and spend time alone to herself. She jumped straight into a toxic relationship knowing the guy was no better lol.

A simply amazing love story which was quite unique. The story line did not follow an obvious route and it was the ending that explained everything right from the very beginning. This movie sent a clear message of patience and respect for time. I highly recommend this movie for those who like this romantic and slow burn genre because the ratings clearly don't give it justice. I think it is also important to note that you should watch this film with lower expectations because it is a unique story and one that is slow paced, which makes it even more emotional since the movie is mainly about waiting even if no one comes.

Was excited to watch this drama from the trailer but gradually fell out of love with the story line. Waited week after week for a more disappointing plot. Only watched 10 episodes as I realised how boring this drama was with a predictable ending that I’ve only seen through reviews. I even slept through some of the episodes as it felt so long and dragged with such a confusing story line. As a Kdrama veteran who’s watched many other series I can only say please do not waste your time on this drama. I don’t even understand how people have given this 5 stars let alone 2. As harsh as I sound, I advise you to not even watch a minute of this drama cause even the other characters don’t add to it being a promising story.
