I love the Miss Fisher adventures and whilst I enjoyed the movie immensely, I was a little disappointed in some areas. I would have to ask the producers why, if they can afford to shoot desert scenes in Morocco, they couldn’t afford just one stately English home opting instead for Ripponlea which has become over-exposed? I would also question the casting of the English Commisioner? I thought I was back in Melbourne with Jack’s superior. Couldn’t they find a more English actor? I would also question why a detective from Scotland Yard wasn’t involved to examine the murder of the Sheik in an English stately home? Some of the “digital” effects left a bit to be desired as well .... eg the steam train, tiger moth, some desert shots, etc. But I will eagerly await the next Miss Fisher movie. Hopefully it will be a better production. If the producers are wanting to create an Indiana Jones look-a-like they are going to have to spend more $$$$.
