This movie deserves a 4.5!
Honestly I just came here because of the cast but I was so pleasantly surprised. This movie deserves more credit.
There's something about stories that speak of individual struggles during war, especially ww2, that can be quite devastating and this was one such movie. I won't testify to the historical accuracy of it, but even the war scenes were so captivating and beautiful.
The acting was amazing. I was so impressed by the precocious young Saoirse Ronan. James Mcavoy and Kiera Knightley were both charming as ever. Although the actress in the last scene who plays the grown up Briony was just awful. I mean at least give her a different haircut! C'mon!! That scene could've been shot differently although I loved the dialogues
But otherwise, delightful movie. The background score was great too. Definitely worth another watch and I'd watch it again.
