Series 1. It's awful but I prefer it when Tony is miserable as its just a funnier show when he is being so savage and outrageous. Once he gets happy the show is just not as good. it can feel a bit like Gervais is trying to divulge his top ten secrets for a happy life, to the viewer.

First 3 episodes were great. Last 3 were a below average muddle with too many unlikely elements to the plot. I was gunning for the villain in the end.
