A sexy romance with a good smattering of violence. More suitable for an audience of late teens than adults.

Saw the on stage musical and loved it. This film is a very poor reproduction. Excellent performances by all the cast, but somehow it just fails to engage.

EPISODE 1 . How on earth could Sean have escaped after being waterboarded, beaten and hung upside down? Continuity needs attention, his face was dripping with blood but when he got outside he looked as if he'd had a bit of a wash. Having said that, the story line looks cracking. On to episode 2......

Started well but then...... absolutely awful! Good performances.

Lovely film, but must admit during the first 15 minutes, I just wanted the father to fix another 2 'sticks' to prop up the house.

A real disappointment! What was the point of amalgamating two excellent books and blurring the story lines between each of them? Made it a confusing mishmash. Such a pity. The actors gave convincing performances and the atmosphere was hypnotic, but haven't the producers heard that 'less is more'.
