I had the honor of meeting Elmer and Dixie when I lived in Tulsa, from 1987 till 1995. It was great sitting in his living room on Nogales Ave , listening to his stories. his book tells the truth . Not anything like Hollywood lies. His book reveals things so magnificent some may find hard to believe. Being a spiritual person myself, who has experienced the grace and power of God, I could tell he was telling the truth, also because he was a very honest person. The only thing I did not like, was the book mentioned the n word. I have been a human rights activist all my adult life, but I knew, he was from an older generation, where that term wasn't intended derogatively, it's no excuse in my mind, but I do understand. anyhow, this book will either blow your mind or open your mind to things that can happen when the Lord is in control of your life. Actually, if I had made mention to Elmer about that one thing, I'm sure he would have changed it, because he was responsive to my input on things, so much so, that I had to watch how I put things. He is no longer on this earth but with our Lord in heaven, but I recommend the Rebel Prophet to anyone genuinely wanting to know the truth about Pretty Boy Floyd gang or spiritual things not regularly told in church circles
