I have a big grouse about the biased attitude of the anchor and some of the judges towards South Indians in particular. Many participants manage to sing Hindi and Punjabi songs beautifully, in spite of not knowing the language. My dears, music has no language, so why harp on Hindi? If so, why does this attitude not apply to Punjabi singers who are treated like kings? Can any Punjabi sing aTamil or Telugu song? Shame on Shankar Mahadevan for not supporting his own people.
