The film leaves you filling in some of the gaps relative to the relationship between the lead character and his girlfriend which makes it that much more interesting. The premise of a metal band drummer losing his connection to the music is compelling. The world of deafness is opened to us as is the struggle to suddenly be faced with living that life. Add to that the challenges of being an addict and one can feel the immense despair associated with that transition to a life without sound. Loved the ending!!
