My favorite monster movie from the 1930s … or maybe, my only part-time favorite! What I really like about this landmark motion picture are the following ingredients: • Max Steiner’s musical score • Fay Wray’s improbable role as the title character’s love interest • Willis O’Brien’s groundbreaking special effects The results have earned ‘KING KONG’ a robust reputation for saving RKO from financial bankruptcy. On a scale of 1 to 10, I give this film 8 stars … for as the iconic poster described the caption, it’s “the eighth wonder of the world!”

5 out of 5 stars! My favorite Disney animated feature film ever! I absolutely adored all 125 minutes of it! All thanks to Mickey Mouse’s colossally superb role as “The Sorcerer’s Apprentice”; as well as to the imagination of one man who blended classical music with traditional animation that made it one of his landmark achievements in motion picture history: WALT DISNEY! Again, it’s my favorite Disney film ever!

5 out of 5 stars! IT’S THE…QUINTESSENTIAL…SUPERHERO…MOVIE! I positively recommend it! All thanks to some of Hollywood’s most incredible talent! Among them are Marlon Brando, who did a superb job in portraying Superman’s father; Christopher Reeve, in his breakthrough performance as the titular character; Margot Kidder, in her riveting role of the protagonist’s love interest; Gene Hackman, in his stunning role as the main character’s archenemy; composer John Williams and his colossal musical score; director Richard Donner and his extraordinary efforts to bring the “Man of Steel” to the silver screen! And last but not least, the phenomenal collaboration of two boys from Cincinnati, Ohio who created a piece of American pop culture: Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster! It’s the unique, one-of-a-kind hero that started it all; a pinnacle achievement that set the standard for future superhero movies…under the exclusive property and trademark of both Warner Bros. and DC Comics!

5 out of 5 stars! My favorite Disney movie, alongside ‘FANTASIA!’ I positively recommend all 140 minutes of it! Julie Andrews gives his enchanting title role as the umbrella-toting English governess; the hilarious song-and-dance routines by Dick Van Dyke; a splendid supporting cast; some lilting tunes by the Sherman Brothers; some dazzling special effects wizardry; and a glorious hybrid of live-action and animation! Most important of all, it’s thanks to the extraordinary imagination envisioned by Walt Disney, whose magnificent effort helped make ‘MARY POPPINS’ his “crowning achievement!” It’s an historic landmark in the Disney filmmaking tradition, for as the luminous nanny once said, it’s “practically perfect in every way!” Again, it’s one of my two favorite Disney movies ever!
